Een paar jaar, twee om precies te zijn, woonde ik samen met mijn vriend in een appartement. Zo een keer in de maand riep ik ‘Als we een tuin hebben dan wil ik kipjes!’. In oktober 2011 hebben we een prachtig huis gekocht en afgelopen juni kwamen, jaja!, de kipjes!
\nMaar voordat het zover was moest ik natuurlijk nog een lief, schattig, mooi en zeker acceptabel onderkomen voor ze zoeken. Mijn vriend is nogal kritisch op dat gebied. Maar ik zal mezelf niet zijn als ik een hok ‘met een opknapbeurtje’ koop. (ha!)<\/p>\n

Om de hoek stond zo’n hok, via die handige website gekocht. Ik er heen met mijn auto, want dat zou wel passen. Nou nee dus, maar deze meneer was zo lief om het te brengen! Dat vind je alleen in een dorp, fantastisch. Een hok voor een habbekrats en nog thuis geleverd ook..<\/p>\n

Heb de foto’s even opgezocht, ik was even vergeten hoe VIES (!!!) hij was! Je kan wel zien, het was eerst een konijnenhok. Maar veel fantasie was er niet voor nodig om er een kippenhok van te maken.<\/p>\n

Na hard boenen (met handschoenen en mondkapje), goed uitsoppen en een schuurbeurtje:<\/p>\n

Helemaal gestript van schroefjes, schuifjes en het gaas.
\nZiet er al veel beter uit toch? Maar ik had een ander kleurtje in gedachte, wat vrolijker, liever, cottage achtig….Dus verven maar!
\nHeb alleen de\u00a01e en\u00a02e verflaag op de foto gezet, de rest en tussendoor is niet zo\u00a0interessant.<\/p>\n

Het eindresultaat mag er wezen vind ik zelf. Het dak met shingles bekleed, wat ik overigens niet zelf heb gedaan maar gemakshalve heb toegekeken \ud83d\ude42
\nKan er met heel veel plezier naar kijken en de kipjes voelen zich helemaal THUIS! Ik moet alleen nog even een andere stok erin zetten want een ronde stok is eigenlijk niet goed voor hun pootjes.<\/p>\n

Het zeiltje heb ik overigens ook zelf gemaakt! Waarom kopen als je het zelf kan maken, veel leuker toch?<\/p>\n

Koop een stuk zeil\/canvas of iets dergelijks en gaas tegen muggen (bij de blokker).
\nMeet het stuk op waar je het zeiltje voor wilt maken. Knip op maat<\/p>\n

\n\"\"<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Leg het gaas op de achterkant van het zeil. Spelt aan alle kanten een zoom af, aan de bovenkant heb ik een extra breed stuk genomen omdat ik hier ringen heb ingeslagen. Neem alleen het gaas aan de bovenkant mee. Laat de rest los.<\/p>\n

\nAlles even door de naaimachine. Snij\/knip daarna smalle reepjes van het zeil en spel een randje om het gaas. Ook weer door de naaimachine! Het restje (zie 1e foto onder) kun je dan gewoon netjes afknippen.<\/p>\n

Heel simpel! Mocht je iets niet snappen, gewoon even mailen of laat een berichtje achter!!<\/p>\n
